Beeing a Management Trainee at Noa Connect

Read what our current trainee Cecilia Abrahamsson thinks about the trainee program!

Why did you apply to become a trainee at NoA Connect?

Creativity and technology have always been very close to me and during my university studies I found it intriguing and motivating to work in the intersection of people and new thinking products and services. Something I become very interested and engaged around was the user and customer experience concepts. As the time came to look out for my first job, I figured my interests translated very well into working with innovation and digitalization, and thus I decided I wanted to start building my career around this. Here, the marketing industry captured my interest as it currently undergoes a critical shift from traditional marketing channels to a digital marketing landscape, in great need of innovative thinking as well as putting the customer at center of attention. NoA Connect’s focus towards data-driven marketing and the latest technologies, in combination with The North Alliance housing creative excellence and innovators, felt like the perfect match and environment for me to start my career.

How is your experience so far?

Most importantly, as a Management Trainee, I get a whole year where I am able to find what I am passionate about and what areas I want to further pursue within my career. During my trainee year the aim for me is to learn from different types of projects and get to know the consultant role by following more senior colleagues where I gradually get more and more responsibility towards clients. Today, I have been almost five months at NoA Connect and already taken part in several projects across various companies and industries. I have been involved in project management of agile marketing, worked hands on with SEO, been responsible for digital channels as well as lead workshops around customer journeys. All this has so far been extremely educational and not to mention, fun and engaging!

Something I really appreciate with NoA Connect is the supportive climate. We have the full spectrum of professionals, everything from hands-on specialists within the latest marketing technology, to digital strategists and project managers with a wide range of experiences and educational backgrounds. This make sure there is someone to ask for advice, discuss challenges and learn something new from, on a daily basis. The North Alliance as a concept is also providing possibilities in collaborating across different agencies, creating an even more diverse and exciting working environment.

Other things I consider worth mentioning is the great opportunities to influence and take part of the company growth and development as well as our common team activities. For example, we have, the NoA Connect work out competition and our yearly crayfish and Christmas parties. This autumn we also travelled to Copenhagen together, visiting NoA Connect Denmark. This was a great experience in terms of knowledge exchange with our Nordic colleagues as well as getting to know each other while spending time together outside working hours.
